Jia is a registered architect in the state of California and New York. Based in New York, her notable built project involvements include Domino Sugar Redevelopment in Williamsburg and 70 Vestry in TriBeCa. An accredited professional in LEED and WELL, Jia advocates a holistic approach to sustainability- promoting not only green building design and construction but also underscoring positive human health and wellness factors.
Jia holds Master of Architecture from University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor’s in Biological Science with emphasis in Physiology from Swarthmore College. Exploring the synergy between her two expertise is where her fascination lies. Her thesis Skin+Bones, which examined human anatomy and bridge structures expressed through medium of wearable design, was awarded the Frank Solomon Jr. Art Prize.
